I know.  Bold recipe name coming from a passionate (and opinionated!) sangria lover.  But I’ll stand through it.



This truly is the finest sangria recipe I actually have ever tasted so far.
And it’s all way to at the least one mystery ingredient….

YIELD: ABOUT 8-12 SERVINGS
THE BEST SANGRIA
Arugula is the star component on this delicious red sangria!

TOTAL TIME: 15 MINS PREP TIME: 15 MINS

INGREDIENTS:
2 (750 mL) bottles dry red wine, comparable to Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot
1 cup brandy
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange liqueur
1 pound DOLE strawberries, hulled and halved
3 oranges, thinly sliced
3 limes, thinly sliced
2 lemons, thinly sliced
4 cups DOLE contemporary arugula
(optional) 1 can lemon-lime soda

DIRECTIONS:

Stir collectively wine, brandy, sugar and orange liqueur in big pitcher, till sugar is dissolved. Stir within the arugula, and use a wood spoon to mull (crush) the arugula so that the taste is released. Add strawberries, lime, lemon and orange to the wine mixture, and frivolously mull the fruit to launch juices.
Cover and refrigerate for wherever from 2-24 hours. Stir in soda if desired, then pressure and serve over ice.
